Rumbles Rules

On This Page you will find rules & info relating to The Rumbles!! :)

Voting Information

Voting and competing will start each Monday at 12 AM Central Standard Time (this is NOT noon), and end on Thursday at 12 Midnight Central Standard Time. There is no voting on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.

Votes will be tallied daily on a scale of 1-10 for the NVE sites. Actual vote scores will be used for the VE side. Voting each day will last from 12 AM Central Standard Time (again, not noon) to 12 AM Central Standard Time the next day. We will only count one vote, per ISP, per site, each day. The person with the highest total for the entire week and at least 3 self votes will move up to the next level. If you receive no votes or do not self vote, you will not advance  .

Spamming people in order to get votes will not be allowed. If we hear of someone doing this, they will be instantly disqualified. They may rejoin The Rumbles after a period of three months, but a second violation means they will be disqualified from The Rumbles for good.

You can vote for your team members, even those competing against you. In fact, we encourage this and hope that each person will support their fellow team-mates.

And, of course, remember to vote for yourself!

Vote exchanging IS NOT allowed on the NVE side of The Rumbles. This means that our NVE side is completely No Vote Exchange, and anyone competing on this side may not do vote exchange, and they also may not do vote requests unless its at an already approved list. So far, the only list that is approved is our rumblers chat list. If you have any questions about this policy, please refer to our NVE Pages or contact Isabel. :)

Vote Exchanging IS allowed on the VE side of The Rumbles.

Please note: As of November, 2006, if you are competing on the NVE side of our competition, you may not be vote exchanging at other competitions with your site.

Site Content Guidelines

Each site, when submitted to competition, will be checked out by our approvals manager for site content. If your site is approved, you will receive an email from the competition manager letting you know along with additional information on what will be happening.

If you are not approved, you will get an email from us explaining why, and what you can do to fix your site in order to reapply.

These are the current guidelines we have for entering into The Rumbles Website Competition but further exclusions may be made if we feel they are appropriate. The managers decision is final, you are however able to appeal the decision by stating why you think you should be approved.

  • Your website must have more than 1 page and have some content. Sites that only contain links to other sites will not be accepted

  • Your site should not be a business only site, this is a competition for personal sites and is not an advertising board. If your site is a personal site with your business links on there too please feel free to apply.

  • Sites must be in English or have an English translation available

  • No Discrimination (i.e. sexism, racism, etc.)

  • No Excessive Swearing

  • No Pornography of any kind

  • No Password Coded Pages (unless you let us view the area first)

  • Be responsible for your links. (For example: No links to Porn Sites will be allowed.). Please also check your links regularly for broken links.

  • Your page should be child-safe.

  • Page must be viewable in Netscape, Internet Explorer, Opera, and any other major browser.

  • You must be at least 13 years of age to enter this competition.

If you think your site passes these guidelines, we would love to have you sign up for the Rumbles :) Please note that once you do sign up, it will take a few days while we check out your site, so please give us at least a week before you write to find out what is happening with your site. And please, do not reapply if you haven't heard anything.. this just makes it more confusing for us, and your application will probably take longer.

Remember, once you have been approved, you must have a link to The Rumbles on your page, or you may be disqualified. Whether you have a graphic link, or a text link doesn't matter..either is okay. :) It should also be an obvious place, where we can find it easily - your main page, one stop vote page, or rumbles spirit page is best for this.

Finally....

As a member of the Rumbles you agree to not flame or be abusive to the staff or other fighters, anyone who breaks this rule will be disqualified from the competition immediately as this is unacceptable behavior. We ask that if someone does this to you, you do not respond to them but instead inform Isabel immediately with details.
